Today, we want to introduce you the novel, Sofie’s World, which is about the story of a 14 year old girl Sofie Amundsen, including basic philosophy. is a 1991 novel by Norwegian writer Jostein Gaarder. Sofie’s World became a best-seller in Norway and after The English translation was published in 1995,the book was reported to be the best-selling book in the world in that year. By 2011 the novel had been translated into fifty-nine languages.

There is also a Norwegian film, which is adaptation of the novel. Sofie’s World (Sofie’s Verden) is a 1999 Norwegian drama- adventure film directed by Erik Gustavson.
